I was very excited to apply for this role as I believed my skills were a strong match. The recruiter I was matched with was a contract employee from a different firm - not a full time Google employee. I was very excited for the interview, but disappointed when the recruiter joined late and seemed unfamiliar with the role. I thought the interview went well, but received an automatically generated email the following day stating that they would not be moving forward. The email was very impersonal and almost seemed to be sent in error. I expected something a bit more personal, as is customary with most of the big SF tech companies. When I followed up with the recruiter to request feedback, she sent me a broken link to an article that does not exist. Overall, this recruiter left a very bad impression and I was surprised that Google would associate with someone so unprepared. Great company, but a bad apple from the recruiting side.
