I applied through a recruiter. The process took 4 weeks. I interviewed at Grant Thornton (Philadelphia, PA) in Jan 2014
Interview
Spoke with national recruiter, and was set up with phone interview in about a month. Phone interview was pretty standard. No unexpected questions. Be prepared to answer why GT specifically, and the specific line of business within GT you are looking in. Make sure to do research on the company, as well. Know your resume very well, and have talking points beforehand.

Interview
2 directors asked about general interview questions, including tell me about yourself, strengths and weakness, any prior accounting internship experiences. There were no technical questions which were asked in the interview, mostly behavioral and conversational.
Pretty simple. Just two rounds, back to back (30 min) with two different people in the same department. It was all behavorial questions and mainly just concerning my resume. Overall, they were very nice and it was good experience.
