I applied online. The process took 4 weeks. I interviewed at H E B (San Antonio, TX) in July 2023
Interview
Easily the dumbest interview experience I've encountered. I was invited via an automated email to complete a one-way video interview (via HireVue), and was rejected via another auto email about a week later. Not once did I speak to a real living human being. For a company that is so customer-focused, I was astonished at how lazy and impersonal HEB's recruiting process is (especially for R4R). This was a disappointing experience and speaks volumes on how little they think of their candidates. Will likely not apply to another position here.

Question 1
Tell me about a time you didn't have the answer to something. How did you respond to the situation?
Smooth conversation and friendly environment. To the point and encouraging in questions and achievements. The panel was not intriguing and inquired about gaps in the career in a very friendly manner.

We see a lot of career gaps however we are not judging those. What was important for you during that time that made you prefer a gap over your career.

Interview
I got an automated email asking me to record my answers to pre recorded questions, that was 2 weeks after my applications and its now been 3 weeks since I completed that and my application is still "under review" so it's been over a month and I still haven't received any communication from their team. Not really sure what their recruiters do, and I'm saying that as a recruiter...
