I applied online. The process took 3 weeks. I interviewed at Hulu (Santa Monica, CA)
Interview
The interview process took almost a month. I received a call the day after I applied. It was a short 5 minute informational interview. From there, HR set up a 30 minute phone conversation with the department heads for the following week. The phone call was very punctual (1pm on the dot, almost 30 minutes exactly). They asked me about my technical background and career goals. A week after the phone interview, HR contacted me by email to set up a 2-3 hour on-site interview.
The on-site interview consisted of 4 back to back 30 minute interviews with various members of the Content Operations team and others I with whom I'd be working, and then a tour of the campus. I did a short test where I spotted QC issues in TV shows. Again, everything ran like clockwork. I was grilled by people who in related departments, but the Content Ops team seemed more laid-back about asking questions. After the tour, HR told me they would be contacting me early the next week with their answer.
I did not hear back for two weeks. Finally HR set up a phone call to give me their answer. They never called. I sent a follow up email, but have never received any response. I assume I did not get the job. I enjoyed meeting the team and touring the office. However, the radio silence after setting up a call left me feeling really weird about the whole experience.
