I applied through other source. The process took 1 week. I interviewed at IBM in Oct 2009
Interview
I had two phone interviews. Both were pretty straightforward. Since it was for a consulting position each interview involved a fairly typical business case. The most important thing is probably to stay organized with your answer, using a common framework if applicable. The people were nice, and very friendly. It wasn't a difficult interview. If you do some practice cases and get familiar with that style of interview, you should be in good shape.
Interview questions [1]
Question 1
One of the cases was about a company looking to increase profits without having to make a large capital investment. The company had a couple of different product lines with very different pricing. The idea was to think through the possible options the company might have, such as adjusting prices, devoting a larger number of facilities to the higher margin product, etc.. It was definitely important to ask relevant questions, as there were useful details that were disclosed if the information was asked for.
