I applied online. The process took 4 weeks. I interviewed at Intel Corporation (Hillsboro, OR) in Nov 2009
Interview
Had applied for some other job opening at Intel but suddenly one day a hiring manager contacted me and asked me to apply for a particular job opening. Then after couple of weeks I had a telephonic interview scheduled. It was a hour long interview by two project managers for that particular project. Then after clearing that I was called onsite for a 8 hrs long interview process which consisted of 1:1 interviews with 8 different team members. The interviewee mostly asked about my domain and lotta basic technical questions. I was completely exhausted at the end of the day. Then withing next 4 days I was contacted by the project manager and was informed that they were going to make me an offer which I cannot refuse! :)
All an all a great experience.

I was contacted in March, 2014 by a recruiter. One Engineer called me and asked OS based questions such as semaphore, interrupt controller etc. Then he called for onsite right away. Onsite interview consisted of 6 interviews. I was asked about cache coherency protocols like MSI, MESI, their state diagrams and explain each transition. Other questions include bit manipulation, optimization of algorithms, codes, operating system concepts etc.

I applied through university. The process took 4 weeks. I interviewed at Intel Corporation in Feb 2014
Interview
Submitted resume at career fair and got called 4 weeks later.Phone interview was setup but they did not give any kind of job description.Seems hiring manager wants to check your knowledge on the fly but the focus in on basics.Questions on OS concepts,Intel architecture,Coding concepts and question. When asking questions on C/C++ they focus on the code debugging aspects. Also multiple interviewers were present most probably to ask about specific topics in particular. The interview seemed rushed after going back and forth on one of the debugging scenarios as there was no particular code being used.It was like you know it or you don't.

Question 1
what would you say if you run a program and it crashes unexpectedly? they wanted the debugging process you would follow, like use the debuggers step-by-step method. What if only cmd line was available?
