Interview
I interviewed with LeapMind mid last year. There were two technical interviews and a cultural interview. Overall the interview process was good. The first technical interview involved a couple of coding problems. This was performed on call with one of the engineers. I felt that the problems were of a reasonable difficulty, and had more practical relevance than some LeetCode style problems I have encountered in interviewing with other companies. The second technical interview was Machine Learning focused. It did not require any live coding, but I was asked about various questions about Machine Learning. In the technical interviews as well as the cultural interview I spoke Japanese with the interviewers. My Japanese is not perfect, but they were understanding and I felt despite some nerves, things went smoothly. Ultimately I was offered a role. It was a difficult choice, but ultimately I declined in favor of another, more competitive offer.
