I applied through an employee referral. The process took 3 weeks. I interviewed at Liberty Mutual Insurance (Boston, MA) in July 2015
Interview
The process took roughly 3 1/2 weeks. First there was an HR screening that was essentially a first round. I was asked basic character questions and why do I want to work at liberty. The second round was with the hiring manager and Manager. I met with both separately for 45 minutes apiece. They asked standard star questions. For the third round I met the assistant controller. All three asked similar STAR based questions. Be prepared to convey specific knowledge and experience similar to the responsibilities of the open position.

I applied through university. The process took 4 weeks. I interviewed at Liberty Mutual Insurance (Boston, MA) in Oct 2019
Interview
The process took about a month. I was contacted by a Campus Recruiter through the university to apply for the position. Received an email to set up a phone interview. A couple of weeks later had the phone interview and the next day I was invited to an on-site interview that was scheduled the next week at the headquarters in Boston. I get to the headquarters and there are 11 (1 Asian woman, 1 Caucasian woman, 5 African American women, 2 Caucasian men, 1 African American man, and 1 Asian man) of us in total of getting interviewed. In the email for the details on the interview, it was noted that the interview would consist of an overview of the company two 45-minute behavioral interviews with the Direct Manager and another team member. When I get there, the recruiter explains that it's more to the interview.... we had to do 2 mini case studies with each interviewer. The recruiter should have put that in the email! The interviewers asked us behavioral questions, mini case study questions, and technical questions. After the interview, all of the candidates met back in the conference room and then we took a tour of the office. After the tour, that's when the recruiter told us that she would inform us if we received an offer or not within the next two weeks. That following Monday I was informed that I did not get the offer. This company says that they are for "Diversity & Inclusion" but they were quick to hire the Caucasian girl in the same state. Why invite the minorities to travel out of state to your company to be interviewed when you were going to select the Caucasian girl in the first place? So much for Diversity & Inclusion. If Liberty Mutual wants to have a racist campus recruiter, tell them to just pretend that they respect diversity & inclusion whenever they come to work.
