The stability was nice and the benefits were meaningful.

I worked at Liberty Mutual Insurance full-time (More than a year)

    Pros

It's a great company which really does care about all of its internal and external customers. They offer a great salary and wonderful benefits for entry level positions. They are constantly evaluating and attempting to improve their work/life balance. The position offers a lot of meaning since you actually have the power to help people. There are many different shift options available.

    Cons

It is a very stressful job for introverts or those who may have sensory processing issues. The metrics are very strict and you need to be able to empathize and rush people along at the same time. It is a constantly changing environment and you need to stay on top of those changes.

    Advice to Management

Understand that there are some personalities which do not work well at this kind of job no matter how hard they try. Learn to recognize these people and then advocate for them to be promoted to a different position even though they may not be outperforming their current peers at the time. Weaknesses and strengths often mirror one another so even though this position may showcase a person's weaknesses if you learn how that proves their strengths you may be able to figure out what they would be good at and help them to attain a position they would thrive at and that the company would benefit from.
    Practice empathy and direct communication.
