I applied through university. The process took 2 weeks. I interviewed at Macy's (New York, NY) in Oct 2011
Interview
I had an on campus interview with 2 1:1 interviews with a VP and a HR representative. Both of them are very nice, but the VP seems to be quite arrogant with her accomplishments at Macy's. I would say that you would really have to like Macy's to get the job because they ask multiple questions to see if you are really interested in the company and the position.
The interview process was lengthy but very conversational. I think there were 3-5 rounds. There was also a technical interview for your specific function that you took online in a closed browser.
It was easy. Just be yourself and don’t overthink it. First was a 15 min screening call over the phone. Then a 45 min zoom call with another individual. Questions related to past experience and how you deal with certain situations.
There were 3 rounds. The first is just an hr screening. You then have to take 2 exams for the second round. After the exams there is one final round. The process was very straightforward.
