The process took 1 day. I interviewed at Macy's (San Bernardino, CA) in June 2012
Interview
Arrived at the office about 10 min ahead of schedule and waited about 45 minutes since the lady was busy. A guy was already waiting to be interviewed for the same position. Interview questions were read from a sheet of paper. One question was basically asked twice, the second was reworded from the first so I just answered it the same. Some examples are Why Macys? Team environment vs. working alone? What do you think the job entails? When have you seen something unethical done and what did you do? What would you do if a team member wasn't holding up his end? etc. Three weeks later I got an email saying thanks but no thanks.

Interview
Applied online and received an e-mail to set up an interview within that same week. Showed up on the scheduled day and waited in HR until I was called on, the interview went okay. A lot of behavioral questions since they wanted someone who'd step in and work as a cashier at times.

Interview
The Interviewer was very prompt. She asked about prior work experience and explained the culture. Behavior interview questions were asked. Name a time when you had trouble working with another employee?

Interview
Lady who interviewed me was 20 minutes late. Very polite but seemed biased since I had no experience. I tried to answer her questions with what she wanted to hear and match my sills to the jobs required skills.
