I applied online. The process took 3 days. I interviewed at Macy's (Chesapeake, VA) in June 2013
Interview
This site really helped me prepare for my interview so I wanted to make sure I came on here to share my experience. Applied online, the next day got an email to schedule my interview online. Went in two days later, on a Saturday, for my interview. Arrived about 5 minutes early, and witnessed my interviewer get stopped by a customer right before she came in to interview me. She helped the customer then conducted my interview. Right away she complimented my handbag. We had a great rapport and she asked a few questions and wrote down my answers. The questions were the same ones other reviewers have listed such as 'why do you want to work for macys' and 'how would you sell a pair of pants to a customer'. Overall it was a positive experience and I was offered and accepted a position. I dont have a lot of retail experience but I worked in the shoe department of a store years ago so I was offered a position in ladies shoes. I also made sure to wear black slacks and a nice top and was friendly and talkative, even though I was extremely nervous. Im looking forward to working for this prestigious company.

I applied through a recruiter. The process took 2 days. I interviewed at Macy's (Orlando, FL)
Interview
Virtue first. Then, at the store. Interview questions are not hard but hiring manager/s are sketchy. They posted part time positions but when I got into the interview they said their looking for people wanting full time job. So unprofessional to take my time.
