I applied online. The process took 1 day. I interviewed at Macy's in June 2010
Interview
The process did not take very long. I saw others before me almost walk in and out. My interview was typical. She asked me about previous retail experience. She said positions would go to current on-call associates first then perhaps open up to others. It was inexplicable why there were interviewing so many people if they did not even know if they had open positions and, if so, how many. I was disappointed and felt they had wasted my time. To top it all off they sent me an email a few days later saying there were no open positions for me. However I see on the website they are still advertising positions. Macy's should change its policy and just be honest with people rather than wasting so many people's time.
I applied through a recruiter. The process took 2 days. I interviewed at Macy's (Orlando, FL)
Interview
Virtue first. Then, at the store. Interview questions are not hard but hiring manager/s are sketchy. They posted part time positions but when I got into the interview they said their looking for people wanting full time job. So unprofessional to take my time.
I applied online. I interviewed at Macy's (Pittsburgh, PA)
Interview
Basic interview process. Applied online and was called in for an interview about a week later. Nothing crazy or out of the ordinary. No assessments needed. I talked about 2 managers.
I applied through other source. The process took 1 day. I interviewed at Macy's (New York, NY)
Interview
It was in person and lasted 20 minutes approximately. Before the int started I was asked to fill out a questionnaire. The question inclu questions about my education and prior retail sales jobs.
