I applied online. The process took 2 weeks. I interviewed at Macy's (Danbury, CT) in Mar 2015
Interview
Applied online, within a week was told my phone interview would be at a certain time/day- no options. Interviewer who barely speaks English calls and says "Don't come in, I need to move you to the same time tomorrow". I explained it was a phone interview not an in person one, but I'd be willing to take the phone call at that time tomorrow. Then she said, Well yeah I said this time tomorrow but it might be any time during the day. She did not identify herself or that she was even a Macy's HR person, but the caller ID told me. It was from the store, not a general recruiter. Call comes in the next day, with people screaming in the background "Oh yeah, I need to move it again". Fine, went along with it.... call came in the next day again, and she had me talk about my work experience and degree work. ( I hold 2 degrees and 7 years of field experience mind you, so it wasn't hard). The job was listed as full time, full benefit, but magically when I asked about hours it was 4-8 hours/week. What a joke. I have never seen a large company more unorganized.
I applied online. The process took 1 day. I interviewed at Macy's (Houston, TX) in Mar 2019
Interview
Interview was very easy just common questions a normal job would ask. They scheduled me for a 2nd interview so I believe that was a good thing to look out for if you're being considered by management for a position in loss Prevention.

Question 1
Why should we consider you're application for hire?
I applied in-person. I interviewed at Macy's (Garland, TX)
Interview
I came in to the store asked to speak to the loss prevention head, who sat me down to fill out an application online, the next day I got an email to set up a phone interview and when she called she was 5 minutes late and when I called her right back as soon as she called me she said she had to reschedule it not even a minute after she called me. So the next day she called she asked me a few questions, she then said she would be intuch with me, a week and a half go by and I get an email saying my Availability didn't meet there needs ? She told me they needed full time and I applied for full time.
I applied online. I interviewed at Macy's (San Antonio, TX) in Aug 2017
Interview
The hiring manager was very unorganized and failed to follow-up on our phone interview. It got rescheduled three times to advise me she couldn't make it. Then the last time I never got a phone call.
