I applied online. The process took 1 day. I interviewed at Macy's in Nov 2019
Interview
Interviewer was great, Maria. She's been in the business for years and knows what she needs for her store to succeed. She gave me a chance in a tough department.

Question 1
What are some examples of you working as a team during high stress situations?
I applied in-person. The process took 1 day. I interviewed at Macy's (Bethesda, MD) in May 2016
Interview
The interview process was okay for me but it was one of the harder interviews I had, but they ask typical interview questions so be prepared, such as "name a time where you had a challenge and how did you overcome it?" Before I entered the interview, I looked up Macy's interview questions so that should help. Also, since I was home for the summer from college, I was told that they normally do not hire seasonal employees but I was an exception because I have a lot of potential. I went through 2 interviews and the second one is easier and you're told about the position and if it goes well, then you are told that you get the job.

Question 1
What was a challenge you had and how did you overcome it?
I applied online. The process took 3 days. I interviewed at Macy's (Oklahoma City, OK) in Nov 2012
Interview
Initially filled out an application on line and was contacted via email for an interview. The interview itself was pretty casual and friendly. They made an offer while I was there. I think the process was quick because initially it was for seasonal help. Talking to other employees, their interviews took a little more time and were more thorough. If you apply to work in certain areas (such as fine jewelry) they will do a background check. Also, if you apply for the cosmetics counter there has to be approval from that particular cosmetics company (Estee Lauder, Clinique, etc.)
