After the initial phone screen with the recruiter, I was advised I would hear back in a week. Two weeks pass by and I didnt get an update. I send a follow-up email to the recruiter and then a few hours later I coincidentally get an automated rejection email. I believe this was due to the fact that the recruiter was pressing about knowing my current salary? She didnt ask once, she asked maybe 3-4 times asking me if I was sure I didnt want to disclose my pay information. I did not disclose that information as it is not relevant to the position I applied for in any way, shape, or form. The recruiter also advised that the advertised salary range was pretty much a lie because they tend to aim lower than what is advertised on the job posting?
