I applied online. The process took 3 days. I interviewed at Marks & Spencer (Peterborough, England) in Apr 2016
Interview
Had an online application in three parts. You start with a basic test about what you would do and they reccomend if you should persue the application further. From this you have a question form and a basic test, you have to complete a personality form and another on line test which puts you in the situation.
When being interviewed it was a one on one interview. It was brilliant. We dived in straight away with a role play where I had to advise the customer of what vegetarian meals they could buy because the butternut squash was out of stock. Prior to this i was given a set of sheets to take notes on, I had to pay attention to the requirements - such as offering add-ons throughout. After that, which went really well another manager came in to ask me some basic questions about how accessible I am and why I want to work at M&S. I was given a job then and there.
Very laid back, three interview questions (why M&S?, why would you fit the role etc) then asked for right to work and availability. Called back a few days later (after the weekend) to be offered the position.

Marks and Spence
I applied online. The process took 1 week. I interviewed at Marks & Spencer
Interview
One on one interview - did role play scenario which is basically seeing if you have the skills to identify where you can cross-sell related products to customers (e.g. looking for sunglasses, direct them to an offer on suncream). Then asked generic questions asking why you want to work for the company, how would you deal with certain situations

Marks and Spencer
I applied through a staffing agency. The process took 1 week. I interviewed at Marks & Spencer (Stratford, London, England) in Nov 2018
Interview
It started off as a screening group interview. After a week i got given an actual face-to-face interview. The interview had 3 stages and was relatively quick. I signed my contract on the actual day and got a guideline timetable of my beginning shifts.
