Tesco's interview process varies by role but generally starts with an online application, followed by potential online tests (game-based/aptitude) and a competency-based interview (phone/video/in-person) using the STAR method, assessing customer focus, teamwork, and drive, culminating in an offer after background checks. Store roles often involve a quick HR call and manager chat, while corporate/early careers might have longer interviews and assessment centers.
After applying through their system, in-person interview. It was very easy and casual. (2024, Dublin) Some questions about food safety and hospitality but it's also easy and simple questions. I did an interview in the dinning area, the second floor of the shop.
Interview questions [1]
Question 1
What is the most important for you working here? (hygiene, customer services etc)
Honestly, good servce but poor management, supervisor know nothing, all blaming on us, but colleagues are fair, nice working environments. Still like that place. Working loads are fair, normally 8 hours/day, but always suffered when facing hard deal customers.
I applied online. I interviewed at McDonald's (Airway Heights, WA) in July 2026
Interview
I saw a few positions open on indeed, did a quick screening, a few days later i came in, went to the front desk and asked for an interview, I was pointed to a table near the counter and a few minutes later a lady came over with a clipboard, it was a pretty positive experience, even if I don't get the job.
