During my Zoom interview for the line cook position, the hiring manager started by asking about my culinary background and experience working in busy kitchens. We discussed specific techniques I’ve mastered, like grilling, sautéing, and plating. They asked how I handle the pressure of a fast-paced environment and how I ensure food safety and consistency. We also talked about my ability to work as part of a team and follow recipes precisely. Towards the end, they gave me a chance to ask questions about the kitchen's culture and expectations. The interview felt thorough but conversational.
