I applied through university. The process took 1 week. I interviewed at Morgan Stanley (Chicago, IL) in Apr 2011
Interview
Started with a brief phone interview and conversation, about 15 minutes total. Went in for what I thought was going to be the final interview but was not. I was told this was another "pre-screening" that was pretty much an entire interview w/ 2 people and lasting about an hour. Went on to interview AGAIN for a job that is essentially a receptionist job consisting of answering phones and data entry and pays about minimum wage. Was also told that after the "internship," if I wanted full time employment there, I would have to wait for an opening and apply for it like anyone else.
The OA was quite difficult involving aptitude, debugging and programming qns. The aptitude was most time consuming and where mostly pictorial and needed much time to solve. Debugging is better and included easier qns.
1)Assessment
2)Hirevue why us, and why this role
3) Interview with technical aspect
I do not much enjoy it and not well prepare for technicals. Just be prepared for technical questions

Interview
Straightforward, more focus on fit and eagerness than market knowledge. Everyone was kind, interviews were short but I talked to people in various teams. Multiple stages online then I eventually received an offer in person.
