I applied through an employee referral. The process took 3 weeks. I interviewed at Northrop Grumman (Chandler, AZ) in Dec 2021
Interview
There were several rounds, including a grueling 2.5-hour panel interview, which was done remotely. There are no cameras on NG computers, so it was done by talking to five black screens, making gauging moods of the interviewers impossible. The interviewers asked tough, but fair questions and genuinely valued my time and opinions.

Question 1
They wanted to know the extent of my technical background and how I believed it would translate to the role in question.
Took weeks to get a phone call after applying to the position. Went onsite for the interview. I was asked a few technical questions and some behavioral ones as well.
Basic interview process for an Engineering position, nothing out of the ordinary. However, the need to have a security clearance causes the hiring process to take months and months. Be prepared to wait for extended periods of time before the actual onboarding starts.
It was an average/typical interview. There was not anything unexpected. The whole interview process did take awhile. You just have to be prepared to hurry up and wait. I would imagine with any large company there is alot of dead time in between.
