I applied online. The process took 7 weeks. I interviewed at Northrop Grumman (Annapolis, MD) in Dec 2015
Interview
I applied online November 17, an HR recruiter contacted me on Novemeber 19 to try and set up an interview. They originally wanted to schedule an interview the following week but due to the Thanksgiving holiday, I pushed it back to December 2. Interview was a panel interview with the hiring manager, a senior level employee in the same group and the production manager. It was very laid back and pleasant. I received a call from the recruiter the following week to inquire about the amount of money I was looking for. She gave me a range of what I could expect and also inquired if I would accept a signing bonus. She called me December 17 and requested that I let her know of my decision by December 21 because their site was about to go on Holiday shutdown. I didn't receive the offer until December 21 and I never heard from the recruiter again. I emailed her and called her multiple times because I had a few questions about the benefits. Turns out she left the company and someone new took over my profile. We finally resolved everything on January 8, 2016 and I start on January 25.
I applied online. The process took 2+ months. I interviewed at Northrop Grumman (Baltimore, MD) in July 2015
Interview
Dealing with my HR Rep was pleasant. Although the process takes a long time, everyone was very professional and thorough. The HR Rep & Hiring Mgr were responsive. The interview itself was conducted by a panel of a couple of Managers & Leads. Again, the notification process was long, but it's more understandable if fortunate to be hired.
I applied online. The process took 6 weeks. I interviewed at Northrop Grumman (Rancho Bernardo, CA) in June 2012
Interview
20 minute HR phone screen followed by a 45 minute technical phone screen with the deputy director and a sr mgr. On-site interview a couple weeks later with deputy director and three sr mgrs.
This was for a mid level individual contributor level in Rancho Bernado, CA. It was a panel interview with all four people and took just over an hour. I left very impressed with the professionalism but also the quality of life Northrop offered. I was impressed the Deputy Director with the hiring authority conducted the interview and therefore knew no time would be wasted conducting antoher round of interviews. Regrettably I was not extended an offer.
