I applied online. The process took 3 days. I interviewed at O'Connor Marketing (Sydney) in Oct 2015
Interview
Received phone call to let me know that I had been selected for an interview on the Friday. Went into the city for the interview the following Monday. The process took a while and there were several applicants being interviewed at once. Waited approximately 30 mins then received a brief 5 minute interview. After this I was contacted and informed I had made it to the second round and told to bring a pen. This round was very misleading as it was an observational interview which went for several hours which involved essentially watching someone else do the job. I didn't feel that there was enough information conveyed about the job during the whole process.
Thank you for sharing your Interview experience with us here at O’Connor Marketing, However it is a shame to see that you found the experience to be a negative one.
The reason we offer an observation day is to help potential candidates understand the work we do and the demands of the industry we work within. The observation day is completely optional and those who chose to take part are able to leave at any time should they decide the work we do is not for them. I’m a little confused as to why you feel that there was not enough information conveyed to you during the whole process, as the observation day is designed to provide a clear experience of what our jobs entail.
We appreciate your time and wish you all the best for the future.
