Interview
I completed an onsite interview in December of 2023 but the interviewers were not organized and late. The company lacks direction and organization. I would recommend you do your research about the company first.

I applied online. The process took 2 months. I interviewed at Orca Bio (Menlo Park, CA) in July 2023
Interview
Call with HR to talk about experience and responsibilities - a lot of role-dependent information was shared at this stage (not directly visible from the job description). Then met with a small scientist team to talk fairly technically about personal experience, approach to science, etc. People seemed nice. Then I talked with the team lead about the company's goal and mission. The final interview was mostly giving a 30-minute virtual presentation followed by Q&A. No one-on-one or other panel interviews.
The overall compensation and benefits were below average (no 401k). Multiple signs during the interview showed a heavy workload.
Pros are the team seemed smart, and the science sounded authentic compared to other biotech startups. So will need some gauge whether one wants to work here.

Interview
Unlike most professional organizations they use Google platform, very awkward, not dependable for meetings. Extremely misleading during interview process. Promised to share benefit portfolio but never followed through. Company infrastructure is nonexistent. Job seekers beware.
