I applied through a recruiter. The process took 2 months. I interviewed at Palantir Technologies (London, England) in Nov 2013
Interview
I applied online, had several phone calls with the HR. I then had a phone interview with another strategist and 2 interviews at the London office. I had to deal with three HR's in the process, it made it very confusing. I was told that I would need to fly to the headquarters for other interviews (to California). I then asked for a salary range for this position before making a 9 hour flight. They declined in a rude manner, suggesting that I was there only for the money and they were looking for 'motivated' people instead. I stopped the process. From what I know, Palantir is not a non-profit, so why can't I ask about the salary range?

some basic code exercise on the whiteboard. If you don't like to be watched while solving a problem, you might find this difficult.

Interview
They really want to get to know you throughout the process, and see how you think about data in different ways and how you solve problems. You have to build a product which takes a long time.
Started with a quick review of my recent experiences and behavioral questions, and then jumped into a SQL interview. It was mostly a large code file which had a lot of bugs in it that had to be fixed.

Interview
There were 3 stages:
1. Chat with a currently deployment strategist (20 min)
2. Onsite interview: consisted of a 45 minute technical comprehension portion and a 45 minute decomposition portion
3. Interview with hiring manager (30-60 min)
After passing a round, they were very quick to get back to me, usually same day or end of the next business day.
