I applied through a recruiter. The process took 6 weeks. I interviewed at PayPal (Dublin, Dublin)
Interview
Initial hiring process got off to a rocky start (as is the case regularly in PayPal/Ebay Ireland)
The HR department are very bad at getting back to you and consistently leave you hanging; unfortunately this is a common report from those that have been hired in Ireland.
Ebay get a third party to run an in-depth security check on you that can take several weeks and you get little or no communication back about this from HR, again you are left hanging.
My only advice would be to hang in there, it’s worth the wait!!
The interview process itself was very well done.
There was initially a written technical exam of about 1 hour covering languages known etc.
Questions in JS, PHP etc.
General knowledge of web coding etc.
Afterwards there were 4 interviewers, 1 HR, 2 Managers + 1 Technical correspondent.
Interview was very fair and I didn’t feel uncomfortable at any point.
General questions about your previous experience and “how you would handle this situation” etc.
