I applied through a staffing agency. The process took 1+ week. I interviewed at PayPal (Bengaluru) in June 2022

Interview: 1st round, online assessment with 2 questions to be completed in 1.5hrs 2nd Round: a complete whole day of assessment and each round to be an elimination round. was asked that the first round would be a pure coding round with DSA but the round happened to be general and started asking about rarest features we use in Java and questions around that. Worst experience. Rejected Rejected as no chance given on 2nd question. ended the call immediately

There are 10 business units, and each business unit has infinite accounts. Each Account has a TIN which is of 9 digits. one Account out of all these has not a TIN of 9 digit. Find that one account.

OA assignment then followed by a onsite virtual interview loop that consist on a system design interview, a code interview and an interview with the hiring manager. They ask leetcode style question, the system design interview was kind of hard.

I applied online. The process took 4 weeks. I interviewed at PayPal (San Jose, CA) in Sept 2025

Interview

The interview process is typical of any other tech company, but don’t waste your time interviewing with them if you’re genuinely looking for a job. After multiple rounds of interviews, they don’t even have the courtesy to share a decision or send a rejection email. Even after a couple of weeks following the onsite rounds, they just ghost you as if they’ve never heard of you before.

I can’t share the exact questions due to an NDA, but typical LeetCode and system design preparation is sufficient, along with clearly articulating your past work experience.
