I applied online. I interviewed at Paycom (Fort Worth, TX) in May 2026
Interview
Starts with a quick recruiter call and then the process is supposed to be:
1 Hour virtual with Hiring Manager
30 min virtual with Regional Manager
1 hour presentation in Person
THEY ARE EXTREMELY DISORGANIZED.
My initial recruiter call was cancelled about 10 minutes beforehand because the " role had been filled." At first I did not think too much and my recruiter was very nice and moved my application for an opening at another location. After having the recruiter call she had then scheduled me to meet with a hiring manager. They send you a lot of stuff to review beforehand to prepare and is the only company that demanded a full suite for the interview. I prepped and was in the Zoom to meet with the hiring manager 10 minutes beforehand and just 5 minutes before what the start of the interview was supposed to be I get an email " the role has been filled and the interview is cancelled." Total waste of time, another recruiter reached out and said they would be calling me at a certain time and never called. I like to give people and companies the benefit of the doubt, but they cancel interviews last minute and want you to chase them. I had taken the day off of work to accommodate the hiring manager interview that was cancelled last minute.

I applied through a recruiter. I interviewed at Paycom (Raleigh, NC) in Feb 2026
Interview
Was approached by a recruiter on LinkedIn, met with them for half an hour via phone and then the hiring manager for about an hour on Zoom. I overall really enjoyed the process and appreciated the straightforward communication around promotions, pay, onboarding, and general expectations as very few companies have that sort of transparency in the hiring process these days.
The vibe of the reviews made it seem pretty intense and that aligns with my perception after interviewing. I don't think I would have accepted had I gotten an offer for that reason. However, it seems to be a very rewarding opportunity if you're willing to make that trade-off.
Thank you for taking the time to interview with our team. We're pleased to hear that our interview process stood out to you for its organization and transparency, and we appreciate your feedback.
