I applied online. The process took 3 weeks. I interviewed at Paylocity (Lake Mary, FL) in Jan 2018
Interview
You are invited to a phone interview via email if you are accepted after applying. If you pass the phone interview, there is an assessment and an in person interview. Everyone is very warm and welcoming the entire time. After the interview, you can expect a phone call if they decide to hire you and then you’ll begin your background check. The background check is extremely thorough and you may be contacted to provide additional information such as transcripts. If you pass the background check you will get an email regarding orientation. Orientation day is a short day and they cater lunch.
Interview questions [2]
Question 1
Initial phone interview is mostly questions about your background and personality. They will spend some time telling you about their job and background as well as a little bit about the company. It’s more like a conversation.
The follow up interview is in person and is a little more formal. You typically have three interviewers who will tell you about themselves, ask you about your background, and ask a lot of scenario based questions.
I applied online. I interviewed at Paylocity (Schaumburg, IL) in June 2026
Interview
The interview process started with 4 assessments. There were timed math, spatial awareness and reasoning assessments and an untimed behavioral assessment. From there I was contacted for a Microsoft teams interview with my recruiter. After that, there was an in-person interview with the hiring managers. I had a third interview on Teams, but I don't think that is normally the case. All in all the process was great, they made it easy and it went quickly. I never went more than 2 business days without hearing from someone.

Interview
Nice interview and interviewee. Did my first phone call interview and everything seems nice and straight to the point. I was informed about the pay and busy seasons but looking at the previous reviews, it is kind of making me raise some eyebrows.
