Multiple people in every interview with no shared goal or direction. Felt like they were just shooting from the hip. Each interview described the role differently. I left each one confused and unsure of how I fit.
I applied through a recruiter. The process took 4 weeks. I interviewed at Paylocity (Bengaluru) in June 2025
Interview
The interview was of 3 rounds. First round was to understand my experience and get to know about the role. Second round was assignment guidance (where they would give an assignment and guide how to solve it). Third round is assignment review. But after submitting assignment they never replied back.
Had a phone screen with the recruiter. They weren't able to tell me about the role at all and said I'd discuss that next with the hiring manager.
Said the interview process would be 45mins with hiring manager, 60 mins with a panel, and 30mins with a director.
They said the process could be quick (3 weeks) if schedules align.
After a week I hadn't heard back about next steps, so I reached out. Took a couple more days and they responded with the standard of going with other candidates.
I wouldn't interview with this company again in the future. If a candidate spends time prepping for an interview, the least the company can do is spend 2 mins writing an email with feedback on why they didn't move forward so they can learn.
