My application process for the IT InfoSec & AppSec Internship at Philip Morris International spanned approximately 1.5 months (early June to mid-July). After an initial application and first interview, I progressed through two user interview rounds, including one with a supervisor. During these stages, I gained valuable insights into the role's responsibilities and appreciated learning about the program's potential flexibility. However, the period between interview stages and especially after the final interview was characterized by prolonged waiting times and a notable lack of communication or updates, which made the process quite challenging and frustrating. Despite diligent follow-ups, direct responses were minimal. Ultimately, after making it through multiple competitive rounds, my application was not selected. While the program is highly competitive, more transparent communication regarding timelines would significantly improve the candidate experience for future candidates.
