      Audit Associate Interview

      28 Apr 2009

      Positive experience
      Average interview

      Application

The process took 1 week. I interviewed at PwC (New York, NY) in July 2007

      Interview

The process is very straightforward and standardized throughout the firm.. I interviewed with an audit manager and partner in my group as well as a representative from HR. A few weeks later they got back to me with an answer. The most difficult part of the interview process came from the partner interview, it was very open ended. After two or three minutes of small talk, he asked me to tell him about myself. After that the only times he spoke were to say things like, "that's interesting," or, "Tell me more about that." It was a little unnerving but I was able to handle it ok once I realized he was looking for not just what I said but how I handled a somewhat unorthodox situation. Overall, the process is designed to keep you at ease, the firm does a lot of pre=screening of candidates so by the time you get to the in office interviews the pool of applicants is predominantly people they think they want to hire.
