I applied online. The process took 5 days. I interviewed at Robert Half (Minneapolis, MN) in Jan 2011
Interview
The technical part of the interview was a joke - some multiple choice questions about .NET programming that you took on a computer. The questions were hardly related to actual programming work at all.
The interview was mainly non-technical, just talking about what work I'd previously done, what I did or didn't like about my past employers, what I want to do in the future.

Question 1
Do you want to keep changing jobs every year or so?
I had a disappointing experience with a Robert Half recruiter regarding a $23/hr contract software development role that required relocation to an expensive city. During our conversation, he criticized remote workers as “lazy” and claimed hybrid essentially meant one day remote. The tone felt unprofessional and dismissive of candidate priorities. Recruiter conversations should focus on alignment, not personal opinions about work models.

Robert Half’s interview process typically starts with a recruiter screening call, followed by interviews with the client company. It’s generally straightforward, focused on experience, communication skills, and overall fit for the role.
