I applied through a recruiter. The process took 2 months. I interviewed at Ross Stores (New York, NY) in June 2012
Interview
Lengthy interview process. Interviewed with three different teams. Emphasis was put on finding the best fit for me within the organization. Hiring agency prepped me before each interview with background on the interviewer and role within the organization. Very helpful!

I applied online. The process took 2 months. I interviewed at Ross Stores (New York, NY) in Mar 2013
Interview
After applying online, I was contacted by HR a few weeks later for a phone interview with HR recruiter. Interview was very simple and was typical going over the resume questions. Then, I was asked to complete a phone interview with the hiring manager. A few weeks later, they brought my out for about 5 or 6 interviews. A couple with HR and the rest with management for the open position. Interviews went really well and after this I was asked to fill out application, submit background check. I received great feedback, however, it took them forever to schedule the next round of interviews. Finally over a month later, I came back to interview with President of DD's and to go on a store tour of Bed, Bath and Beyond. About a week after that, HR contacted me and told me that while everyone enjoyed meeting with me, they thought I was more at the Assistant Buyer 2 level (1 level below Senior Assistant Buyer) and they currently didn't have any openings for that position....quite disappointing and VERY long process.

Question 1
Not many difficult questions - most were just about my experience. They all did come in with a page of questions from HR that were behavioral based - but not challenging.
I applied through a recruiter. The process took 3 months. I interviewed at Ross Stores (New York, NY) in Jan 2013
Interview
It took a total of 3 months. The interview process was a series of 5 rounds of interviews. The first was just with HR to decide if you are a fit for Ross or DD's. The next was with one division and included a senior assistant, buyer and divisional within that area. I came for a 3rd time within the same division and met with the VP. The final interview was with another area within the company and met with a buyer and divisional.
