I applied online. The process took 1 week. I interviewed at Ross Stores (Hawthorne, CA) in May 2022
Interview
There were few questions. They seek someone who is passionate in retail especially valuing customer support. One thing I could advice to those who would like to consider being a sales associate is to review their site. The site offers sample questions along with the details on the return policy. (This is a plus to them if you know a thing or two.)
The interview process at Ross Dress for Less consisted of meeting with a store manager to discuss my customer service experience, cash handling skills, and ability to work in a fast-paced retail environment. I was asked situational questions about handling customers, teamwork, and resolving problems. The process was straightforward and focused on my availability, work ethic, and ability to support store operations
Fast and easy! They mainly asked about my previous work experiences and my availability. They also asked what great customer service is like to you and why I would be a good fit to the company.
I was interviewed over the phone and than asked to come in person. So I could meet the team and talk to them. It wasn't too hard but it was kind of a waste as I didn't get a call back.
