I applied online. The process took 2 weeks. I interviewed at Shopify (Vancouver, BC) in June 2021
Interview
It is a 2 stage interview process. The first stage is a life experience interview where they dive into you background and history. It is pretty casual but what they try to see is if you are going to be a good fit. The second interview is their infamous gauntlet interview where you have to give a technical test. This needs a quiet a lot of practice and also depends well on how well you can multi-task, research and problem-solve. All the answers are in the help centre but finding it can be challenging given that you have limited time.

Chat: How do you add pictures?
Chat: How do I share image link on social media platforms?

Question 1
Lengthy but well explained and scheduled interview process comprising of writing example emails, taking live chats and addressing a call. They give you the tools needed to prepare but it is stressful.

Technical + life story - two interviews one where you describe stuff about yourself and then a skill testing technical interview with chats and phones to test what you'd be doing in the role
