I applied through university. The process took 1 day. I interviewed at Siemens (Verna) in June 2024
Interview
It was a campus placement where they had put a requirement for GET position. They were looking for students from Electrical Engineering background. We were called to the siemens plant where we were initially instructed to give a written test because of the large number of applicants which was quiet easy and basic after which shortlisted candidates were called for interview
Interview questions [1]
Question 1
In Electrical plants, power is supplied which enters the plant via the meter which measures the voltage and current levels of the incoming electricity. There are CT(Current Transformers) and PT(Power Transformers) connected, now suppose one of them is not working, can we use one of those transformers to get the value of the other parameter as well?
Round 1 consisted of an Aptitude and Technical assessment focusing mainly on array and string based questions. Candidates who cleared it moved to Round 2, a technical interview. The final Round 3 was an HR interview. The recruitment drive started in August as an on-campus pool drive.
General process with attitude test and technical test with question of both easy to hard level triggered the mind to think out of box. After that interview round or group discussion followed with the HR round
An instrumentation engineer interview typically involves technical questions on topics like process control, sensors, calibration, and programming (PLC, SCADA, DCS). Interviewers also assess practical experience through project discussions, evaluate troubleshooting skills, and gauge soft skills like communication and teamwork. The procedure includes rounds covering technical knowledge, hands-on experience, behavioral scenarios, and a final discussion.
