I applied online , 2 weeks later I got an email from recruiter to set up a telephone interview. I replied with suggested times , and 2 weeks on still radio silence , even after sending a follow up email.
Needless to say the experience leaves a bad taste in my mouth and the recruitment team should address the slow response times. Their competitors have a much quicker recruitment process . I applied at the same time and I have a final interview with one of their competitors .
I am baffled as to how it can take so long to arrange an initial telephone screen interview. Needless to say I'm no longer interested in working at Slack because of this. It is a pity as I love using their product

Question 1
Waiting for over 2 weeks for recruiter to set up call so can't answer that one !
I applied online. The process took 6 weeks. I interviewed at Slack (San Francisco, CA)
Interview
After multiple rounds of interviews, I was told they would make a decision. These rounds included the hiring manager, multiple interviews with team members, and an hour-long presentation. While waiting for a decision, I received a call from the recruiter who asked to meet with a senior leader. The senior leader didn't show up for the call. In the latter half of the interview process, a leader I met with regurgitated a plan I presented during my presentation as if his team had come up with the plan (even though the language he used was directly lifted from my presentation).
