Had an initial phone interview with the team lead. He seemed nice and said there would be a take home challenge, but that it was more of a formality because it was a frontend position. I showed him some stuff I was working on as a code example. I finished the coding challenge and was rejected almost immediately. No follow up, nothing. I had spend a lot of time making the project really nice and presentable. They didn't even look at it
good 'ol boys, rich c-suite only getting richer. founder using funding money for long time to stay rich. amazing how many there are not happy. weird how they get anything done.
I applied online. The process took 3 weeks. I interviewed at Snap! Mobile in May 2024
Interview
First, I had an initial screening call to see if I would be a good fit. Then the next week I had a zoom call with one of the team managers and the week after that, I had another zoom call with another team manager. So overall, it was 3 rounds. Everybody was very very friendly and I have nothing bad to say about them. However, one of the team managers did let me know that they were looking for more of a personality hire. They wanted someone that would be a good fit for their culture. After completing all 3 rounds of interviews, I was waiting to hear back from them. A positive thing was that the initial recruiter did email me saying that they will get back to me within a week. I saw them repost the job during the time that it was waiting to hear back, so I already knew that they were going to send me a rejection email. Not surprisingly, they did send a rejection email the following week. Despite me having all of the skills that they needed, they did not decide to move forward.
