The General Manager of a pre-opening St. Regis in the Middle East called for an interview. He was very keen on making a selection immediately. The interview (phone) was informal, and seemed like a formality only. The interviewer mentioned that 20 had been shortlisted for the job but went on to offer the job right away on the condition that I would join in two weeks. As a further formality he asked a Starwood property close to my location to interview me in person. He did not know who to contact at this property and made me do the googling myself.
