I applied online. The process took 2 weeks. I interviewed at State Farm (Richardson, TX) in June 2016
Interview
The entire process took maybe about 2 weeks from online application to interview. I applied online. about a day later I received an invitation to take an assessment. I did so. I did not think I did well , but I guess I passed. It included typing and call center simulations. I received an email a few days later about thank you for completing the assessment and HR will contact me if Im chosen for an interview. I received an invitation for an interview a couple of days later, I set up the time with the lady by phone. I came on Glassdoor to review questions and I'll say just about all of the questions that I was asked was on here. Therefore I prepared really well however, I get nervous in interviews so recalling my prepared answers and delivering them confidently was the hardest thing for me otherwise the interview was very easy. STAR questions. Situation , Task, Action, Result, prepare your answers thoroughly and also I had a very nice interviewer which really helped and she made me feel a little more comfortable. I was offered the job at the end of the phone interview pending background and drug test. background check verifies everything you list on resume so do not lie and make sure you explain anything that needs an explanation and submit supporting documents. I thank and I praise God for the opportunity and for blessing me with the job! And for helping with the interview because without Him it would not be so!

I applied through an employee referral. The process took 2 weeks. I interviewed at State Farm (Richardson, TX) in July 2025
Interview
The interview was pretty simple, they asked basic behavioral health questions and questions regarding your experience and how it will contribute to the position you were applying for. I was offered but declined due to the salary. The experience I had wasn’t worth taking the change for the drop in pay. Interviewer was pretty straight forward advised they would have negotiated pay IF I had auto experience - even though I had 5 years in managing claims and I wouldn’t be managing only customer care.

Question 1
Name a situation where you had to make a difficult decision.
Lengthy and long random questions and typing test. Be prepared that if you pass you’ll have a lot of work and should be able to maintain it. Not for faint of heart.
