I applied through university. The process took 5 weeks. I interviewed at State Farm (Gainesville, FL) in Oct 2015
Interview
Applied online before a campus career fair. Met them during the career fair and handed them my resume and elevator pitch. I was encouraged to apply online and on my school's career website and would be notified via email if I was selected for an interview.
I applied for multiple positions and received multiple interviews. When I was scheduled for an interview I was never told which role I was interviewing for. I inquired for more information and the recruiter was not even sure which role I was being interviewed for. During the interview I ask which role this interview is for and the interviewer did not know either. I was asked what roles I was interested in and told him my rankings.
This interviews were all on time, but it felt like their was confusion, bad coordination and poor communication between managers, recruiters and myself. This process repeated itself for the four other interviews I had with this company.
After my last interview when I was told I would be updated with a decision, no decision came to light after multiple attempts to get an answer.
Interview format:
Behavioral questions. Conversational style.
Very light technical questions. (Rank your knowledge on different topics)
