I applied online. I interviewed at T-Mobile (Beachwood, OH) in Mar 2019
Interview
After applying I had to take a pretty detailed personality assessment. The next step was a live on-line internet interview (which I never did so I was surprised when I made it to the next step in the process). From there I interviewed in person with the store manager and assistant manager. They were really looking for an outgoing, friendly, people-person that's comfortable with technology and upselling. Most of the interview consisted of the ''name a time when you...'' questions. For the close, I was given a handout which detailed a very descriptive specific scenario where a husband and wife come in to the store to look at possibly a phone, tablet and/or computer for their 14 year old son and maybe their 12 year old daughter would be jealous and want something too. We role played from the moment the customer walked in the door from the greeting to the conclusion. One manager pretended to be the spoiling father while the other pretended to be the cost conscience mother. It was important to ask the customer specific technologically knowledgeable open ended questions to determine what they are looking for as well as other services and products that would fit. Within a day or so the manager communicated that they were going to offer me the job but it took a bit of time to receive my official offer. I did have to wait a month in order for there to be enough new hires to fill a training class.
