      Transformation Manager Interview

      12 Aug 2024
      Anonymous interview candidate
      No offer
      Negative experience
      Average interview

      Application

I applied through an employee referral. The process took 7 weeks. I interviewed at T-Mobile in July 2024

      Interview

Initial interview with the hiring manager met expectations on all levels. He was professional and transparent regarding the role and needs as he saw them. The breakdown began after the second round interview where the interview panel had expectations that were in clear opposition to those of the hiring manager and director. 2 of the 3 panel participants were standoffish and at times borderline rude. The experience was not one that I would have expected, especially as a potential returning employee of over 10 years. Follow up took nearly a full month, during which time I kept in weekly contact with the recruiter for this role and was often not responded to for days. When I did finally receive the final decision, a decline, I was told that there was no feedback to be provided. This was again in contrast to what I had heard from those I know who are close to the role. I was advised that I should be hearing back from the recruiter with some level of feedback soon, however, it has now been another full week without any communication. Based on this and other experiences I have had with T-Mobile recently, I would no longer recommend this as a company to work for. The candidate experience is lacking to say the least, and it is an unfortunate truth that those who are in the process of interviewing are not being treated with a level of respect that one would expect from ANY company doing hiring in 2024.
