I recently went through an interview process with TEKsystems, and I was honestly shocked by how unprofessional the experience was. During the process, the interviewer asked for a personal reference from someone living near me just to confirm that I’m “trustworthy” — something I have never encountered in any professional recruitment process.
This kind of behavior felt discriminatory and inappropriate. Instead of evaluating my skills, experience, or professional references, the interviewer made the process uncomfortable and unprofessional. I expected a fair, respectful interview based on merit, not personal background or where I live.
