I applied online. The process took 3 months. I interviewed at Tesco (Middlesbrough, England) in July 2017
Interview
Process was kind of strange as the two jobs I applied for in the Eston store had been 'unsuccessful' on the Tesco website where you apply but was still rang to attend a group interview. It was a group interview with 7 of us and we were sat down asked to introduce ourselves and then we were asked two questions and all had to take turns answering, after that we had a team building activity where we had to build a 6ft tower out of paper, then once we did this we were split up and asked to go help bag pack on the checkouts for about 15 mins and then we all had a one on one interview where they asked a bit about myself and when I would be available they said they would ring me within the week to tell me if I had been successful or not and it's been five days and I still haven't heard yet.

Friendly, open conversation.
Asked about customer service skills & experience in further details, difficult experience where you have worked well & also availability.
Didn’t have to wait to hear back, was employed on the spot after the interview & set up first shift dates - very efficient.
