I applied online. The process took 3 weeks. I interviewed at The Hartford (Virginia Beach, VA) in Nov 2022
Interview
The feedback I got was that I was selected because I didn't use enough of my "buzz" words while answering my questions. I'm sooooo over this STAR format crap!! I'm to the point where I'm literally just going to read a script word for word, line by line when they ask one of these questions. I hate that all of these job interviews want you to give these Oscar worthy performances. It's deflating when you know you have the experience and can do the job. So many interviews and passed up for just the smallest things, it's so exhausting. Or how about employers stating no experience needed, but then tell you they decided to select people that already had experience because they "really" needed to fill the class up. Okay my rant is over! All I can say is I guess for every job you apply for, there are 5 billion others applying too. My new motto is don't have any expectations when applying online. Click N submit as many as you can and have your script ready and rehearsed!!!

Question 1
standard basic generic questions, "How would you handle an irate customer?" "How would you organize your desktop?" "What would you do if you didn't know an answer to a question?" "How would you handle a difficult situation?" "Give me a time that you were NOT able to help a customer, and what could you have done differently?" "What would you do if you didn't agree with feedback from a manager?" "Give me a time that you had to work under pressure and how were you able to succeed?" "How would you adjust to a sudden change at work, like a new database or taking on someone else's job responsibilities?"
The interview went well with the hiring manager. She was very professional and great to talk to. The interview consisted of lots of situational questions and behavioral questions. Make sure to be ready to give great answers.

I applied online. I interviewed at The Hartford (Brea, CA) in June 2025
Interview
After quite a few days after applying online I spoke with a Recruiter. Then about a week later I interviewed through video with 2 managers. Went fairly well. I then got a phone call quite a few weeks later from the recruiter that they hired someone else. This whole process took about a month. Luckily I gave up on them quickly. I’m not interested in working in a bureaucracy. They weren’t worth the commute either. I think they wanted someone with little experience and who would work cheap for them. Good luck training that person.
