Interview
I applied for FAS position in Shanghai (China) office through employee referral. Firstly, the HR interviewed me through a 15min phone call and asked some general questions (like education/work experiences, the earliest date can be on-board, why thermo fisher and why FAS). One week later, I was asked to have a face-to-face interview at Shanghai Office. Since I was not in China, my interview was arranged one week later. The interviewer included the Technical Support Leader, and two senior FAS. One 15min presentation related to my previous research was prepared. After that, they asked about the project I have presented (for another 15min). Followed this, they asked about my understanding of the FAS position and why I choose this career path. The interview lasted for about 1 hour. The interviewers and HR were very nice and we truly had a nice conversation. I received the offer one week later, which was much faster than I expected.
The inerview is online. The first one is with the manager. The link of the interview has been sent to the email before the meeting. The second interview will be with the HRBP team. There will also be a third interview with the manager after the second one.

Five rounds, first screening by HR, three technical rounds, one round with the team and final negotiations. Process is well organized and quick. Technical rounds take up most of the time but they are in place to test your skills in-depth.
