I applied online. The process took 4 weeks. I interviewed at Thomson Reuters (Eagan, MN) in Mar 2012
Interview
I talked to the representative at the career fair as a sophomore. He seemed impressed by my previous work for a technology company, even though it wasn't programming. He asked me a simple question (What's the difference between an abstract class and an interface?) and when I was able to answer that, he said I was a good candidate and had me apply online. After applying, I got to skip their normal phone screening process and was invited to interview in Eagan.
This was actually frustrating because we were not compensated for travel or room (since the interview started at 9AM, not getting a room was impractical). The interviews itself were fairly simple, I was asked basic character questions and asked to talk about my resume. I interviewed with three groups, and afterwards I was asked to rank them in the order I would like to work for them.

Question 1
Their questions are not very difficult. I was asked to write a method in Java that could check if any given word was a pallindrome, but that was about it.

Interview
Phone call into onsite interview (for summer 2025). There's an interview with 2-3 people where they ask about your experience, do on-demand SQL problem and leetcode-style problem, and then proceeded to keep asking about my experience.

Overriding vs Overloading, 4 pillars of OOP, Abstract vs Interface
I applied through university. The process took 1 week. I interviewed at Thomson Reuters (Bengaluru) in Sept 2025
Interview
Online assessment followed by interview process. A huge team comprising all managers ( development, devops, QA, business analyst ) will be interviewing candidates randomly, if you're lucky enough you'll get a easy panel, the difficult question asked by the toughest panel is also not difficult.

Interview
Had a virtual interview with 2 engineers for a summer SWE internship a few years ago. The interviewers were not friendly and seemed arrogant. Right when they entered the call, they seemed like they did not want to be there. They made a joke at the end which seemed to mock me.
Very unpleasant experience.
