I applied in-person. The process took 3 days. I interviewed at Tim Hortons (Toronto, ON) in Jan 2016
Interview
Handed in my resume in store, got a call back in a few days.
Interviewed the assistant manager for approx. 15 minutes.
He read questions off a sheet that I assume they ask every single employee.

Question 1
If a customer spills a drink in front of you, what would you do?
It was a very easy process. In general, it was a lot of behavioral questions which made the interview feel very stress free. I personally felt that it was more like a conversation which made it very easy to sit through and answer.
Good. they asked good questions. for example. Why would you like to work here. what do you like about tim hortons. do you like our coffee. do you know what a double double is.
It was a pretty relaxed and straightforward interview. The interviewer mainly asked about my past work experience, customer service skills, and availability. They also explained the job responsibilities and what a typical shift would look like.
